Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
sept 29 the question of the day is where is Twaassen - we have gps and a map as the desk clerk agrees 'we don't trust our gps anymore' -- he also tells us it will take about 35 min - brave souls that we are we depart - after talking to the fellow in the pick-up truck in the next lane he agrees we do not want to cross the Putella bridge - the people at the police station agree we are lost =
you get the picture - we arrive at 10.15 the ship has sailed...11o'clock ferry we are waiting for you!
A calm crossing but can't see much clouds are very low - clears a bit as we near Victoria;
Pam is ready with a cup of welcoming tea - we take a short tour of Victoria and a lovely visit to
her son Nic and gorgeous family,,,,
September 30 we plan our day and include a visit to Value Village - it is huge, not as many raincoats as I had predicted!
Lunch is at the Bengal Lounge in the Empress ,,,, very good, followed by tea at the Abkazy (sp) garden which is small, beautiful and entwined in a lovely poignant love story - they died with no family the housekeeper got the house and the gardener the garden- hope the got along!
 ......Dinner is fresh sockeye salmon - mmmmm, good -- Pam invites an acquaintance from RD days.
Mohamed is enjoying Rosie - Pam charcoal grey cat of 4yrs.
Wednesday we leave for Tofino - 5hr drive.
