Vernon, British Columbia, Canada
We leave just a little early so I can visit the neighborhood in which my parental grandparents
lived for several years after retirement....I think I found the house -- but

Its a good day for a drive the scenery through the fruit growing area - Kelowna, Vernon
Salmon Arm is lovely, green and lush.

Still in BC at Yoho National Park we visit Takkakaw Falls - I can hardly believe that I once
hiked in 8 km to Twin Falls Chalet - and stayed at the very old Railroad workers hut where
the equally impressive Twin Falls - 'ran' the entire night - we packed in all personal belongings and the horses (thank you) brought the luxuries - lamb for roasting and strawberries - remember it well.

We had agreed to buy gas after lunch in Golden and then (both) promptly forgot - this meant a rather tense drive as we went up the mountains the 'empty' bell sounded as we descended it seemed all was well (or at least quiet) - we get gas in LakeLouise and continue on to Banff...

Beautiful as ever and although not crammed - lots of tourists (many from Asia).
Thursday we visit the Gondola, Hot Springs and walk along the Bow River...Friday is at leisure
we do visit Johnston Canyon - and walk in about half way -- Have pizza for dinner and the delivery boy is from Trois-Riviere!

Saturday we leave a bit early - have fresh croissant and latte for breakfast and arrive Medicine
Hat about 4pm.....
Sunday is bright/sunny we leave for Saskatchewan (about 50km) we need to add another 'pin'
to our travel map! Beautiful day and is common the only place open in Maple Creek is the local Chinese Restaurant - Im feeling a bit sorry for them as we are the only customers although there are signs a few others have 'been in' -- then a family from grand-baby to great grandma arrive about 25 in total - they've made their weeks profit!! Thanksgiving, indeed!
