Time for a rest

Sleep in today as it is an R&R day? Wander over to the farm shop for a few supplies then viber M-L for a chat. Gemma and my best mate Cooper also, I miss you Pa he says.

Only Deb, John and myself home today as Kim at work and Cassie in Oxford at uni . Early arvo we drive to the local "brewery" for a few samples - no matter how hard we try it is clear that this relationship is just not going to work!

Today is a special day in England as it is St George's Day with celebrations all over - yet no public holiday. Us Aussies would have this sorted in a flash. We then head to a typical local to see if we can mix in but my shorts and thongs are a give away. The house of choice is called The Plough and it also just so happens to be the establishment that the Prime Minister when at his country getaway - Checkers also frequents. The freehouse is all decked out and rocking in its red and white theme, looks like a lot of sore heads tonight and in the morning.

Home to sister cracking the whip as she gets out the lawn mower and proceeds to give me instruction on how to use, what part of the word holiday does she not get. Anyway if she thinks that sitting on a ride on is mowing the lawn then I can not wait to reciprocate when next down under. There is about an acre to cover but really no sweat here.

Late arvo we hit the hot tube with bevvies and a simple Debra style platter, indeed a challenge in the pouring rain. Still we met all tasks presented. A spot of couch time watching a doco on the canel boat area that we are about to take on and building into our minds that the weather in north Wales could well be a challenge as well.
