Castelsardo, Sardinia, Italy
The best day wind and weather wise on our last day here. Enjoyed watching the fishermen whilst in the shower, M-L doing same from her breakfast in bed spot.

We are looking forward to going back up to the old part of Castelsardo for another wander around, make a couple of purchases and Sunday lunch - how civilised . It is like stepping back in time in the old village. The craft of basket weaving is still done by the old italian women, you go into their shop fronts which are part of their house. They show us how they do them and the different types, they are good at the sales pitch as well.

Lunch today we have been looking forward to, it is in a small lane way with tables, the kitchen out of a small door way and more tables opposite in through the other side of the lane way. Talk about high tech they also have wifi so some get their fix as they have maxed out Debs allocation!

La Schizzula didn't let us down, we went the whole hog along with a number of carafes of the local vino, fish great, pasta great, desserts great, people great. Next time you are in town recommend you pay a visit. Then time for a siesta at home then town beach late arvo, the Don decided to get in some early kip whilst we made our other purchases, Maddie had her fix of gelato as well .

Home to pack, fix up the place as the wild parties did get a little out of control and prepare our antipasti feast on the balcony as the last supper. The sky's big surprise, perhaps a parting gesture commenced at 7.30 pm, because it has been reasonably cloudy since we arrived we had not been afforded this unforgettable experience. Mother Nature gave us a light show that went until 9.30 pm, it is hard to describe the colours as the sun was setting beyond the islands on the horizon but the sky and water reflections went from yellows to reds to orange to burnt orange with different sky blues to contrast and engage, then various degrees of browns emerged as darkness took hold thus allowing the moon to participate in natures explosion of magical vision. One that will truly hold its own when sunsets are a topic of discussion. Not to mention the hundreds of photos that were taken. Just who has the best shot, really none will be.
