In and around Buck Palace

A real lay day today so will not stretch out the blog.

Deb took the girls into the local village for a look see, they spent some time in the Roald Dahl shop, they have an interpretive section that children become involved in and by all accounts much fun was had by Maddie .

I went across the road to the Peterley Farm to pick some more of my favourite broad beans along with some peas, raspberries and strawberries. Every single one picked to stringent quality control standards. Reasonably tiring work so took the opportunity to get my strength back with a real cup of tea (gee the carrot cake looked nice) from the yurtified Wild Strawberry Cafe. My new mate Jim and I chatting while his darl out picking raspberries.

I thought Deb was setting setting up the front garden for a home beautiful magazine photo shoot, no it turns out only for our lunch and dinner. Colourful rug and cushions under the large shaded tree, table cloth and chic pots with garden cut flowers on table, outdoor chairs with throws and cushions, brazier filled ready to light up along with the spa heated. Naturally we are happy to be the extras in the shoot. Aussie barbie to be the main event.

M-L had a massage in the village, the Don taken to Amersham for a physiotherapist appointment, unfortunately he is now going to have to be called the Don Juan as one arm has to be amputated.

Returned for spa, cook great food on the barbie with tasty salads, Maddie has the place cards made for the table. Sit around the fire and discuss what isn't being taken on our road trip tomorrow to Dorset down on the south coast of England. Hopefully the plumber arrives early enough tomorrow, he has to disconnect the kitchen sink so as it can also be taken, Deb is OTT and running out of control, prefer the KISS method myself.
