Almost ready for the off

Brentwood, England, United Kingdom
Final day at home before the long journey to Adelaide begins. Cases are finally packed so today will be hairdressers for me, Doctors for Paul ( just his normal 6monthly checkup) then it will be time for attempting the online checkin. Been having some issues with Singapore Airlines re seat changes so let's see what we have been allocated. When we booked a year ago we were able to get seats on the upper deck from London to Singapore which was a lucky break, so we thought, but last week that all changed when I looked at our booking online only to see that not only had we lost those seats but we had not been allocated any seats at all on our return flight to London.
I know why they changed the upper deck ones because these have now become Premium Economy seats, yes you've got it at an extra cost, so with my complaing hat on I wrote to the airline stating that they confirmed all our seats a year ago and to cut a long story short they have now asked their seat allocation office to honour our original ones. I am not holding out much hope though as they still have a clause stating 'the airline has the right to make alterations to the seating plan' but fingers crossed. As long as we end up with seats on all 4 legs if our journey we will be happy, but Upper Deck is nice.

Well so far so good, went in online to print off boarding passes to see that we were still allocated seats on the lower deck but it did allow us to change to the upper deck with seats one behind the other. It is so much quieter up there so it's still worth it. Will try and get things changed when we book in at Heathrow. Will definitely try this on the way back too.
