Coffee meetup with Karen and David

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
All up a bit earlier today so it was washing on and packing to be sorted for our week away at Middleton. Paul did a bit of gardening and I read my book while we waited until it was time to leave to meet up with Karen, her partner David and his daughter at Largs Beach at 1.30, this was a bit of change of plans as originally we were going to meet for lunch at Largs but they were having lunch before they just supposed to be coffee and cake at the beachside kiosk but guess what they had NO CAKE. WHAT. Being a better day (26 degrees) parking at Largs was a nightmare we should have left a lot earlier than we did but too late now. This was the first time we'd met David and we all got on famously they make a lovely couple. It was great sitting in the sun with no clouds in the sky may even get a bit of a suntan, who knows.

After leaving there just after 3pm we thought of going for lunch at The Largs Hotel but we had the dog and they can't go in and there were no free tables outside, so thought we would go on to the café at the Wetland Centre but thwarted again as they finished serving food at 2pm which seemed to be the same story wherever we went so have now ended up back at home and will have to wait until the restaurant at The Old Spot (the local pub) opens at 5 .30.

The time now is 5pm and Paul’s back outside in the sun he sure will be tanned by the time we return.

Had a lovely child portion meal (normal portions way too big for us) at The Old Spot which was originally a coaching inn on route to Adelaide. There was a band playing in the garden which was so loud that we decided to sit in the children’s room as believe it or not this was the quietest room in the place despite there being a family with 3 little one but they were no problem.
Back home and I too got a little burnt today but hopefully it will go brown. .
