Fantastic start to the day even got up, breakfasted, showered and ready to start the day by 11am. Our journey went well until wetook the wrong exit off the Expressway and had to retrace our steps to Marionbut were soon back on track. We finally stopped at Wallunaga for lunch on route
and watched the council guys digging up the intersection ready for the TourDown Under Race at the weekend, then they will have to replace them . Two localsin the café were complaining about wasting their council money but hey it mustbring in a lot of extra revenue to the small town.

We arrived in Goowla at 2.30 and soon found the rental agent and collected the key and set off again for Middleton and soon found the house. At first I wondered what we’d paid for as the blinds in the front looked broken but inside is amazing loads of space and we just now hope to chill for the week with Chris, Karen, Bobbie and the boys. Enough driving for today so it’s wine,
wine, wine all the way. Didn’t take us long to get the rooms sorted and set up and now we are all chilling.

Today is a hot one 36 degrees but tomorrow is supposed to be cooler her as we are near the coast but for today that’s it for now. This is lovely just all being together.

Time now is 5pm and we are all chilling fantastic, Nick is swing in the hammock and Paul is sitting with him on the veranda, Chris and Dan are playing chess, with Dan winning (he’s already beaten Paul) Karen, Bobbie and I are just relaxing .

5pm Chris, Karen, the boys Paul myself and the two dogs went for a walk around the area, the boys were riding their bikes so after Chris met the local music centre they went off down the road, and Karen Paul and I took the dogs to the beach, which is amazing. The beach is literally just across the road from the house and although the surf is rough it’s a gorgeous beach.

What a wonderful evening, Chris cooked a great Spagbol and desert was chocolates. Now relaxing in our beautiful holiday home Chris, Paul and Karen are in the music section, Dan’s in bed and the rest of us are settled in the computer section. Fantastic day and we only got lost once, result.mReally looking forward to this week
