Bike Ride and trip to Victor Harbor

Chris, Karen and the boys had an early start as they went biking for 2 hours at 8 .30 biking as far as the Barrage at Goowla, further than where we got the other day. Once they got back and everyone had breakfast we started our day with a trip to The Artisan Market at Victor Harbor. Victor Harbor has been a summer holiday destination for generations with it’s blue waters, stunning views, early colonial architecture, marine wildlife and activities for all ages, including camel rides on the beach, or a ride on the horse drawn tram across to Granite Island (we skipped this on this trip as we had the two dogs who were not allowed. After lunch in the town we took a ride up to The Bluff for a view overlooking the bay, before returning home so the boys could go to the beach and do some more body boarding with Dad. Paul had an afternoon nap, while Bobbie, Karen and I had a quiet afternoon on the verandah reading and in Karen’s case answering emails, before opening our sticky wine and enjoying our cheese, pate and biscuits before Chris and the boys returned.

After they showered and had a rest Chris and Karen headed back into Goowla to get us all fish and chips for tea, which took a while as there was a ½ wait but eventually they made it back and we all enjoyed their choice. Actually got the pay as you go wifi to connect for a while just enough time for a quick chat with Emma and Raiff at John’s but then it went down and we couldn’t
get it back. Shame but will try again either tomorrow or next week as it seem they are with John again then.

It all looks like a very relaxing and pleasant place to chill out.
