Middleton South Australia, South Australia, Australia
Our last full day at Middleton, I think we will all be sorry to go tomorrow, we’ve had a fabulous time here together. The house has been fantastic even though it was too big for us really it’s worked well. For our last day we had a slow start the boys and I were the first ones up at just
after 6 .30am and had our own book club. Everyone else was up by 8am and over breakfast we decided to go back into Goowla so the boys could do canoeing. The weathers much warmer again today 30+ and it was lovely sitting in the sun watching Dan, Chris and Nick out on the river.

Next was a trip to Hindmarsh Island for supplies of Coorong Mullet and Oysters for our final dinner. The fish stocks are low at the moment so not too much choice to be had, but everything is fresh.

On the way home for lunch we stopped for a coffee in a shady café on the route back, at the
supermarket Chris, Karen and the boys stopped for extra supplies for lunch and we took the dogs with us back to the house . After the lunch break we headed back to Goowla to do another part of the historical walk around the Scottish section, at the end we came across the local historical society who also let us in with our UK National Trust Card it was a really interesting place,

At the end of our walk, where else was there to recuperate but at the Steam Exchange, (it’s changed it’s name now but it will always be the Steam Exchange to us) . We went ahead
with the boys while Karen took Chris to the Jewellers supposingly just to look but somehow earrings dropped into her bag. While the mice are away (Mum and Dad) the boys and I had a naughty icecream while Paul and Bobbies stayed in the air conditioned car.

After closing time (5pm) we came back to the house for our final nights fish extravaganza,
can’t say I’m a great lover of oysters but I gave them a try and I must admit they weren’t as bad as I imagined.

Next was a Skype call to Emma and Raiff to find out who won the bowling but it was Daddy,
I miss them but it’s nice to see them happy. Then it was a relaxing evening with plenty of wine. With the boys tucked up in bed the adults have settled down to watch The Dressmaker loved that film, they certainly have an amazing selection of DVD’s to watch.

We’ve all loved our week here pity the weather was a bit up and down buy hey ho that’s the joys of travel. Tomorrow we will be heading back to Adelaide spending the night in Salisbury Park with Bobbie before heading south again for a week with Chris and Karen in Blackwood. I think Bobbie will be glad of the rest.

Tonight I saw a Huntsman Spider for the first time, they are BIG and apparently according to Chris the can jump so wasn’t getting too close to that one
