Back for a week in Blackwood

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
I was the first one up today at just after 6.30am and got up made a cup of coffee an read my book till Bobbie got up, can’t believe Paul slept in till 9.30am very unusual. We all had a slow relaxing breakfast after the last few days rushing around. Thankfully yesterday’s washing was dry so we put on the rest of the sheets that remain to be washed, the ones I did yesterday had got twisted on the old washing line and got all dirty again, great. Next we were packing again for our week in Blackwood. Stayed with Bobbie for lunch and then headed off good old satnav seemed to have dyslexia as we followed it’s instructions to the letter but it still said it was recalculating our route but eventually a sign for Blackwood came up and we knew we were on track.

Mid afternoon we all walked into Blackwood to The Artisan Café which I’ve often heard about from Karen and it wasn’t a disappointment set in a courtyard of the shopping complex with the outside area shaded by vines . Lovely.

This evening Karen had a Council Meeting and Liam, Paul and I went with Chris and the boys to their Ukulele Club and everyone enjoyed it and as we knew most of the songs we could sing along, but Liam and Paul actually had a go at actually playing. I think this may be Paul’s new
challenge. The club is in a pub where they have 2 pizzas for the price of 1 which was tea tonight.

Today the temperature got to 26 but when we came out of the club it felt like winter it sure was cold.

After club we went straight back to the house and into the warm and sat watching the tennis (Australian Open)
