Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Another wet wet wet day, is this really Australia. No one was up till 7.30 even the dog didn’t want to get up. Looking outside we couldn’t believe it was still raining but when it did ease up we took the dog for a walk down to the park and Nick tried to catch a turtle with his reed rod but we weren’t very successful in the end the turtle managed to get the bread and break the reed swimming off with it. Oh well. Dan didn’t want to go in the first place and was fed up so we decided to come back home, good job as no soon had we got in when it poured down. Next a decision had to be made as to what to do with the day, first option was pictures but they didn’t start till 3.30 the Nick wanted to see Star Wars again but Dan didn’t want to go at all. Then indoor swimming was suggested and as both of them agreed that was where we headed
stopping first at KFC for lunch, the boys had popcorn chicken and we were going to share chicken nuggets and chips but were told it would be cheaper to have a family bucket, MISTAKE a family bucket had about 10 whole pieces of chicken so some have come home for later .

The boys enjoyed the pool but it was a bit too much chlorine for me it made my eyes ache so I didn’t stay in that long but sat in the café with a coffee and muffin watching. The pool was similar to the Colchester one it had a play area with a big bucket which emptied gallons of water on your head, a baby pool, a nice swimming pool that wasn’t too deep and an Olympic size pool which was being used for a Water Polo Match. There was also a spa, sauna and
steam room, plus a flume which you paid extra for and ended up outside, luckily the boys didn’t want a go on that one. Personally I preferred the outside pool yesterday. When it got time to leave and I told the boys to go and get changed, Dan’s reply was I can’t I didn’t bring any cloths, oh well good job he been out for a while and his swimmers had dried a bit.

We left about 4.30 and it was STILL raining, on the way back there was a fair amount of laying water so we’ve decided to stay overnight in Blackwood and make the journey back to Salisbury in the morning. By the time we got back Chris and Karen were home and have already started a roast lamb dinner, sounds great.
