Cape Cross Seals

Dorob National Park, Erongo Region, Namibia
We drove out to the Dorob National Park and the Cape Cross Seal Reserve to observe (and smell!) a HUGE colony of seals frolicking in the surf and basking on the beach.  The seal population, which numbers more than 100,000, has grown large and fat by taking advantage of the rich concentrations of fish in the cold Benguela Current.
Onward journey to Spitzkoppe after another bushcamp.  Bush camping in the Namibian desert was spectacular with the flat, sparse landscape and bright starry sky.
