Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland
We flew with Singapore Air to Zurich where we travelled via two trains to Luzern. I was keen for Sharon to see this delightful and beautifully maintained historical city with its many mediaeval buildings and points of interest.
Then three more trains got us to Grindelwald where we are staying for three nights for some local hiking before travelling on Thursday over the mountain to Wengen where we're to get married on 6 June. Lugging our four suitcases today on and off all the train changes today whilst ensuring the careful handling of Sharon's wedding dress provided a good challenge
The weather unfortunately in Grindelwald is unusually cold. Maximum temperature of just 6 degrees in Grindelwald today and more of concern are the constant showers. Carpets of heavy snow can be seen on the mountain slopes much lower than I've seen before this time of year.

A long journey but well worth the effort to arrive amidst such romantic scenery. This must be such a joy for you Will, to return to one of your favourite walking spots and to finally share your travel dreams with your new loving partner. Have a wonderful time.
