Day 10 Surprise day ending

To avoid the eye of the storm, which is near Bermuda, we're sailing 250 miles south . Nonetheless, we still encounter very rough seas again and reduce speed to 15 knots. This is when we spotted the poor container ship listing 15-degrees to each side, fully loaded, doing 10 knots. It must be miserable to have to earn a living in such conditions.

Our ship makes a never-ending, swishing noise as it cuts through the silver waves.

The water and wind are rough all day. On the upside, we’re now far enough south that I can wear a bathing suit on the balcony.

After a great game of Trivia, the stomach starts to send signals: I had eaten too many fried and dairy foods while recovering and need Imodium from the medical center. If I could have, I would have run out to CVS. Getting Imodium from the med center sets off a chain of events involving a report to the CDC and a mandatory 24-hour quarantine. If you ever take a ship, be sure you bring your medicine cabinet because not only you, but your cabin mate, too, will be quarantined for anything suspected contagious. In my case, it was something I ate, but the CDC and Norwegian took no risks with over 3,000 people on board.
