Sunday morning we saw why we pulled into Tampa early: thick fog everywhere. We had to hurry into port to beat the fog. Safety and schedule over casino. Fog didn't delay breakfast or disembarking from the ship. We chose to walk off without luggage help, which meant as long as we could move our own bags, we were free to walk off. Staff swiped our personal cards one last time to record that we had left the ship and our cruise was over.
We crossed the Atlantic once which was enough to learn how wonderful and powerful it is
. We aren't tempted to repeat the same trip. However, we’d like
to try another kind of cruise, one that is more port intensive, such as the Panama Canal, South America, Greek Islands, or Scandinavia--an area so expensive that it's more cost effective to visit it from a ship.
Truthfully though, I think we are divided between the ambiance, friendships, and activities of the ship, but we are also fairly confirmed land travelers who enjoy staying in one
place at a time for a week, exploring it depth. No matter what, the most important is to do what you love, love what you do, and keep doing it for as long as you can.
Bon voyage. Happy trails.
