Travel Day


 This morning we traveled 68 miles south on US Rt . 89 to the town of “Kanab” UT and our campground “Kanab RV Corral”. This location puts in the middle of our next two major destinations, the north rim of the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. The campground is typical of most in the southwest, with gravel, and more gravel. After lunch we drove over the AZ border to the “Pipe Spring National Monument”; where we learned about the interactions of the Mormon settlers in the 1870’s, the local Indians and the U.S. government. Very Interesting and we learned a lot that we did not know.
