Travel Day
We headed north out of Las Vegas on US 95, at 9:00 it was already 87 degrees but with the cloud cover it was a good morning for driving. Traveling north we traveled through mile after mile of desert, it was an extremely boring trip. The mountains in the distance helped to ease some of the boredom and we did pass through a few small towns, but 99% of the trip was through desert. We stopped for the night in Hawthorne NV at a nice campground.

Loved the picture of Hoover Dam. I was there pre 911 and got a really good tour. I heard they shorted it some, but you got to see the generators. Loved Red Rocks if you get there too.
Well we decided and we are going to buy a Coachman Clipper, Ultra light that we can pull with the Jeep. Sleeps 4, we may upgrade in a couple of years if we like it and buy a tow vehicle. But this should meet our needs for the next couple of years.
