Croissants for breakfast, looks like a cool day so took jumpers but wasn’t long before we took them off as the sun is out.
Walked past the paradise gardens and made way into Bath Abbey before having a look around the town and popping into a few actual shops, we can’t try anything on although Han tried some shorts on over her jeans! We decided not to buy anything yet though as we are having a tour of the Roman baths this afternoon.
We walked round the lovely yellow stone buildings, the sun shining and found our way to Sally Lunns Bath Bun, this is a traditional Bath bun which has no particular English description and is unlike any other bread so I am intrigued.
We decided to get a smoked salmon one and an English tea one (jam and clotted cream, the jam ironically from the nearby to chelmsford- tiptree) then the tiny museum below it.
More of a wander round then into the Roman baths for a couple of hours before a little shopping and some birthday purchases from TK maxx.
Dinner at Thaikhun, very full so took leftovers home. Wine and a film to finish the day.
Hanny favourite thing: exploring a new city and feeling like the world is pre-Covid. Roman baths was cool to see and buying birthday presents was fun! Thaikhun was awesome and one of my favourite restaurants!
