Leaving Myanmar for Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand
11:00 We spent the morning on a walking tour around yangon with our guide Po, it was pretty hot but we saw some old colonial buildings, the river and some children playing naked in the mud and jumping off the bridge into the water. We stopped in at an English language school and spoke with the students so they could hear our accents and ask us questions.
16:55 And so I said goodbye to mum and dad as they went through their gate to get on the plane . I have another 2 hours to wait before my flight when I meet up with H.
22:00 I landed in Bangkok and once I'd collected my bag and found my way through immigration I went in search of H. There seemed to be so many exits and I was looking all around and couldn't see her anyway. As I was walking along someone kicked my bag from behind I looked round (angry face apparently!) and saw H...
We got ourselves a taxi to our hotel in Bangkok, a very nice hotel indeed just behind Ko San Road where we settled down, changed and went out for some food and drinks.
It's so much more humid in Bangkok than it was in Myanmar, although Yangon was pretty humid.

All in all it was an excellent tour and really great to be able to see Myanmar and it's beauty. I had a fantastic time and met some lovely people.

And now on with Thailand for 2 weeks...
