Shifting Sands: Israel and Morocco 2014
In our third installment of our "parent sabbatical," Marcia and I head for Israel for the holiday of Sukkot and explore Morocco and its Jewish history. We come just after the third Hamas-Israeli war and in the midst of the Arab winter which has seen the violence and anarchy of ISIS, and the collapse (or near collapse) of regimes in Syria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen and Iraq. But the Middle East and North Africa are big places and we are looking for models of coexistence and cooperation in the midst of chaos.
