A Blast From the Past - Yellowknife, Canada and Detroit, Michigan

On the heels of Jessica and Steve's wedding and Veronica's move to Israel for a gap year, I embark on my first trip as an empty nester. This trip combines a trek to the world's newest diamond mine in the tundra of Canada, checking out Ford's advanced manufacturing system for the F-150, and a black tie wedding in Ann Arbor. I will be on 7 flights for what is essentially one long weekend. It is an exciting trip for me. I haven't "kicked the tires" on my investments in this way in over 20 years and I am reminded of my early days at Fidelity when it was all mines, metals and manufacturing all the time.
