R&R Thai style

We're off to Thailand. Lots of cheap deals in the paper - $1200pp for 10 nights. Of course, when we go to the travel agent those deals end before we can fly out. So instead of $2400 for flights and hotels we pay nearly that just for flights. Travel agents are such rogues. Flight Centre is the biggest rogue of all. Even after our Alaska cruise experience where we swore off them we're back. Suckers! This time only give them the pleasure of our business for flights and one night in airport hotel on way to Phuket. Hotel is cheaper than I can find online. So what's the plan? Fly Thai Airways to Bangkok (the old international airport). Stay one night at airport hotel then Thai flight to Phuket. After gazillion hours of research we've chosen Marina Phuket Resort on Karon Beach for seven nights (USD100/Ocean View Room). Then we're heading by ferry to Phi Phi where we'll spend three nights at the Bayview Resort (AUD50/Grand Deluxe Villa). Ferry back to Phuket for flight to Bangkok. Spending two nights at the newly opened Millennium Hilton (USD100 opening special /King Hilton Deluxe). Luckily June is Thailand's low season so this only ends up pretty expensive instead of bloody expensive. So much for our plan of a cheap holiday this year! $1 Aussie equals about 30BHT (remember this as you see the prices)
