Blackpool Belle's Great Alaskan RV Adventure

After many months of research and communicating with so many helpful people on Tripadvisor, we (hubby and me, 60-ish) finally made it from the UK to Alaska in August/September 2013. I planned the entire trip independently from the UK and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Our trip was in two parts: a week on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry stopping at Ketchikan & Juneau, followed by 2 weeks in an RV from Anchorage, visiting Denali & the Kenai peninsula. Whilst planning, our first thoughts were that we would cruise on a small ship, then decided hiring an RV was what we wanted, and then I fancied the ferry cruise followed by hiring an RV. Lots of research & planning later, here's what we did.
