Euro 2012

So this is it! After a 10 year absence from major competitions, Ireland are back in the big time after reaching the finals of the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine. Technology has moved on a fair bit in the intervening decade. Back in 2002 I wrote long descriptive emails telling tales of my journies through Korea during the World Cup. Now there will be regular(ish) dispatches, photos and maybe even video clips of my path through Poland following Ireland in Euro 2012. But it won't all be about football. I hope to bring you some observations of an Eastern European summertime. A glimpse into the sights, culture and flavours of Poland in additon to views of how this ancient and historic land handles hosting its biggest ever sporting event.
