Claire Drinnan's 6 weeks in Adelaide

6 weeks with 'The Smith’s'. It's time for another visit to Australia, this time I will be spending the majority of my holiday in Adelaide with Sue, Gary and Fliss with the exception of a cheeky little week in Noosa. It was always my plan to go back to Australia, this is my third visit to a place I wasn't bothered going 3 years ago..... That was until my feet landed in Sydney that very first time in 2016 and that was it, I fell in love with the Country. I can't fully explain why I love it so much, it just has a different feeling to the UK, not just because of the sun (of course), maybe it's because it's soooo far away from home and i can leave that world behind me. We all deal with the normal stresses and strains of everyday life, perhaps it's a mental thing where you leave your baggage behind and live in a bubble. Either way i love the feeling, the freedom, the relaxation and the stress free mind. This is the longest i would have been away, a full 6 weeks, i hope Sue can put up with me for that long!! ha ha. This trip is a little different in that i am not leaving my beloved Branny, sadly he passed away in June. I did think when i was planning my trip that at least i don't have to worry about him and feeling guilty about leaving him and being away. However totally unexpected, along comes Milo!! The naughty little Chihuahua, with a loving personality. He came into my life when i needed him most, and so i now had to work out what i was going to do with him. Being a puppy it is a responsibility for someone to look after him as he is only 6 months. My sister Laura is having him, she has her own dog Ralphie and they have become good friends, i trust Laura and her boyfriend Jordan and i'm sure Milo will have a lovely time and wont want to come back with me as he will have fun with Ralphie!!!! I have been terrible with my planning, I booked my flights, got my visa, got my holiday spends all in advance and that was all I did. Until the night before i was due to leave, is when i packed my suitcase. In fact i finished at 330am on the morning i was leaving... Nothing like leaving it to the last minute!! ha ha.... If you have read my last couple blogs i have documented quite a bit and believe it or not its quite a task keeping it up to date and uploading photos. I wasn't sure if i was going to write another one as its a real commitment, however I would be very disappointed if i didn't keep a diary of this trip considering i have done for all of the others. So I decided i would write this journey, however, there will be days where if i haven't done a lot then i wont update the blog fully I will just make a mention. It means it gives me time to relax and not worry about getting the computer out. Having said that I hope you enjoy following me on my travels x
