The Trans Siberian Railway

I'm going to do a trip on the Trans Siberian line but not all in one go. I will be getting on and off and making it up as I go. I fly into Shanghai, China then head to Beijing and Mongolia. Itinery so far looks like this 3,4,5 Shanghai overnight train to Beijing 7,8,9 Beijing 10th bus ti Zhangjaikou 11th bus to Erenhot cross the border to Zamyn-Uud & bus to Ulanbaatar 12,13,14 Ulaanbaatar 15 Batshireet - need permit from UB 16,17 Dadal....birth place of Chingis Khaan 18,19 Choibalsan...mail truck from Dadal 19 Chuluunkhoroot 20th cross the border and take trans Manchurian train to UU 21 Ulan-Ude..join the trans Siberian line from here to Moscow 22,23 Urkutsk 24,25 krasnoyarsk 26,27 Tomsk 28,29 Omsk 30,31 Yekatteringburg 1,2 Nizhny Novgorod 3 Suzdal 4-8 Moscow..Mockba 9-12 St Petersburg Fly home via Shanghai As always these plans might change on the road. I have Russian visa that I got a couple of months ago. I sent passport, copies of my flights and insurance and got the visa. Today I went to the Chinese Embasy in Perth and applied for my Chinese visa. Contrary to what I am hearing I did not have accomodation booked and they took the application. Those two Visa's are taken care of and I will get Mongolian visa on the road.
