Searching for my own spot on the Sand...another Adventure in Southeast Asia

When I spend the day at the beach, it is few and far between these days. Even though I practically can step out my door and walk right out on the sand on my lucky beach apartment in San Diego. Busy schedules and little time at home these days, makes those days priceless, and important. It's the same when I travel. I am one of those people who goes as far, far away from any other human being, and sign of life to enjoy a beach day. I don't gravitate towards others in following their choice of what the most perfect spot in where to spend my precious day off. I don't feel that there's people there because it must it's the best place to be. I think they go there because they think that it must be since that's where everyone is. It's simply not true.. Not me, I wander down the path unknown, and find my own private, QUIET, spot, without another person in site. I find the most special places this way. I find it challenging, inspiring and it leaves me in awe sometimes, " How does no one know about this place? "This is what I call paradise. My own private paradise. I seek this at home, and away on my vacations to find serenity and help submerge myself into the moment, and just be. This may have a lot to do with having a career locked up in a metal tube in the air, with hundreds of people who give me nothing close of any personal space, and find it not bad timing at all to ask me for a pen, or their third sprite just when I sit down on my jump seat to enjoy my meal that I've already heated up two times and haven't had a chance to take a bite of yet. Thailand is an amazing country full of some of the most stunning islands in the world. It's no secret. But most people go to the most popular spots, Phuket, Patong.. two places I've never been or have any interest in going. If they all want to there, that's the last place I want to be. On this trip , my friend Christine and I will be heading back to Southeast Asia. Starting in Singapore, Malaysia, then up through southern Thailand exploring some beautiful , popular, but un crowded islands. Some I've been to before, hoping they have stayed just way I left them. Heading up to the center of Thailand, spending a few days in tree houses in Koh Sok National park with an overnight on the lake in floating raft houses. There will be lots of wonderful Thai massages, delicious street Pad Thai , Red Coconut Curry, Chang Beer ,Banana Shakes, and lots of opportunity to find my private spot on the white sand beach.
