Fun is Good! - China
After a year of reading China blogs and learning a little Mandarin, we headed to China for a month of independent travel, spending several days each in eight locations starting in Beijing and winding up in Shanghai. We stayed in great hostels and traveled between cities on excellent domestic airlines. Now we're home, creating this blog from some of the ton of photos and emails made during the trip, hoping to include details that will help others planning something similar. Once again, we found the travel much easier than initially feared, and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. People seem to be the same everywhere!
