7 Days In Lisbon

There's no reason for this trip to Lisbon. I've never been there, that would be the only real reason for going. Up until this trip there was always a reason for going somewhere; to visit my brother in Barbados (even though it turned out that he left before I got there), to see the land of my dreams - Australia, even going to London is a chance to see family and friends. The list could go on, but this time I hadn't considered Lisbon as a priority destination. In the end it is a spontaneous decision and so I will be travelling for the sake of the journey - that has to be something that I've taken away from my Australia trip. Of course, people who have been to Lisbon have always spoken about it in glowing terms, but in a year when I'm trying to save to either go back to Western Australia or at least to South East Asia, Lisbon is a trip I can ill afford...or is it? Yes, I've already been to London already this summer ("A Stranger In A Familiar Land"), but there was a really cheap flight going that I would have been mad to let pass up, besides, apparently Lisbon is supposed to be a cheap place to go in Europe, possibly even cheaper than staying in Spain, though I doubt it. So on a whim and given the ease of the modern world, I bought a ticket over the internet on my mobile - just like that. I have no expectations of the trip. Maybe I'll like it or maybe I won't but hopefully it will be an interesting holiday.
