9 Day Trip by Coach in Europe

Travelling to Europe along with 42 friends and acquaintances is not an easy matter. For me it was another experience this summer, very different to travelling by plane on your own. Not easy at all if you don't have a good guide along who will put things to rights when something comes up. Misunderstandings are inevitable for sure and it is at this point when somebody needs to have patience. Luckily our guide Yiorgos (George) was the best and well trained for this job. He managed to keep up a good relationship with everybody till the very last moment. People with little experience on travelling cannot understand that this kind of trips need punctuality and they cannot easily accept that there are certain limits. Limits on time when we are out sight-seeing, limits on shopping. So, misunderstandings did occur on this trip....luckily not serious ones, but there is a lot of disappointment when this happens. One such happened luckily when I was not present and I saw close friends not talk to each other from then on. By a hair's breadth I was lucky to stop this from happening to me as well, and I showed patience but after this the feeling is very different and you wonder how well we really know these people whom we call friends. (For me they are just acquaintances). Real friends that I have are one or two but who were not on this trip, and mostly people that I know since I was a child. A Note: Anyway, I have decided to be very brief on this blog and I am not writing details but what I will do is to download many photos instead. I also believe that many of my friends are no more interested to read about the many trips I take, others are jealous, and with all worldwide economic crisis it is surely a challenge to travel at all. Of course there are those who are addicted to travel -counting myself in. People who save, and with the least they make their dreams come true. Travelling is a way of living.
