Winter in Khao Lak 2018-2019

I enjoyed the summer of 2018 more than usual. For a change, we had some wonderful weather enabling me to get out and do plenty of walking, both in the UK and in Spain. I visited lots of friends, had a week on the beach in Crete and in September spent an fantastic couple of weeks touring the island of Madagascar. Memories of the summer include the spectacle of the moors on fire just across the valley from my home during the heatwave and drought, watching the antics of the delightful lemurs in Madagascar and feeling very proud of myself when I stood on the summit of Ben Nevis in July. But now the nights are drawing in and it's time to head for Khao Lak once more..........
