Austin and the Trace

When Beth's family called for a reunion in Austin, Texas this November, I did think vaguely of attempting to get there by bike. I have not seen much of the South, and the weather would be warmer in those latitudes. Then talking to Harry we found that the Natchez Trace Parkway is on a straight line between Arlington and Austin -- and would carry me for a third of the way. A chance to disappear without a Trace ... to Trace the path of of pioneering boatmen and indians from Nashville to Natchez and the Mississippi. It was a go !
