My Day Off - Middle East & Asia
4 years since my last "day off" and time for another. But where to go? South America? Exciting, colourful and vibrant. I suspect however that I would eventually end up on a well trodden backpackers trail and this time I am looking for something else. Africa? For an extended holiday yes, but again, not what I am looking for this time. Middle East - less traveled, undoubtedly more challenging and certainly a cultural experience. Perfect! So a rough route of Syria, Iran, Pakistan and beyond, with excursions to other countries as the opportunities arise and the fancy takes me.
