National Parks 2013

We set off on another cross-country trip in our Adventurewagen with the goal of visiting four national parks -- Yosemite, Sequoia / Kings Canyon, the Grand Canyon (north rim), and Mesa Verde -- at least one national monument (Canyon de Chelly), and who knew what else along the way. This was a particularly adventurous trip, because it was challenged at both ends: by the Yosemite fire and the government shutdown. But with a couple of shifts in our planned itinerary we managed to do it all, and with glorious weather. What a beautiful country, and what a treasure we have in our national parks!
