Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

My long-time friend from high school and convent days, Mary Ellen and I are celebrating the beginning of our 8th decade by traveling together to Machu Picchu in Peru and Quito and the Galapagos in Ecuador. I hope to actually get to see Machu Picchu this time without getting Montezuma's Revenge. The Galapagos has been on my bucket list for a long time. We are traveling with Road Scholar which used to be Elder Hostel. They are well known for all of the educational opportunities they provide through excellent guides. We even have one guide who is an expert in Andean music. I really look forward to the lectures on the Galapagos. The map I have used for my trip cover photo is not exactly what we are doing but is very close.
