Working for five weeks in Japan at age 17.
Believe it or not, I started college as a physics major. In the summer before my freshman year, I managed to snag a summer job working on the KEK project in Tsukuba, Japan! I was only 17 years old and had never traveled abroad before. I celebrated my 18th birthday there. A remarkable experience.
Since it was almost a decade ago, I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I'll do my best to give you the gist of it.
