Cycling the Outer Hebrides, Scotland with Hebridian Hopscotch June 2014

In total 13 days in Scotland with the Hebridian Hopscotch cycle the highlight. Also a couple of nights on Mull with a boat trip to Iona. At the end of the Hopscotch, in Stornaway, the ferry takes you back to the mainland at Ullapool. From there there's a bus to Inverness where we stayed the night. Next day another bus to Glencoe and another one back to Oban to collect the car. Had intended to camp the night in Oban, in fact packed all the camping gear except the tent !!! Stayed the night in an Oban hotel, had a meal in the local pub and watched Germany beat Brazil 7-1 in the 2014 World Cup. You may recall that England did not progress part the group stages having only drawn 1 match This entry is being written in April 2023 as part of a retrospective catch up of many of our trips and holidays since the purchase of a digital camera in 2005. Mike is able to carry out this catch up due to his enforced 'lock down' after new hip surgery in Feb 2023
