Scamper revisits Portugal and Southern Spain Feb/Mar 2024

We enjoyed our journey around Portugal in Feb 2022 so decided to pay another visit in 2024 this time for 5 weeks, and include some sightseeing cities in Andalucía. The ex MP Michael Portillo is half Spanish, lives in Carmona in Andalucía and presented a series of TV travel programmes in which he visited 6 cities in Andalucía. We intend to visit Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz as well as his home town of Carmona. After that we will head into Portugal passing through the Algarve and the Serra de Monchique and onto the west coast of Vicentina. Armed with the Cicerone book Walking in Portugal we will don our boots and do some walking. Outward from Calais through France into Spain at Irun, across Spain to Caceres and onto Andalucia then into Portugal along the Algarve before wriggling inland and north to Marvao. Back home from Marvao, stopping at Salamanca then Burgos and Irun before the long haul through France
