Walking the Amalfi coast, Italy Sept/Oct 2017

A six day hotel to hotel walk, arranged by New Experience, along the spectacular Amalif coast starting in Cava de Terrini (near the Bay of Salerno) to the picturesque town of Positanto via Miaori, Amalfi and San Lazzaro. Followed by three days (with the tourists!) in Sorrento from where we visited the lovely island of Capri with its Blue Grotto and chic shops. Finally we visited the remains of the ancient city of Herculaneum, as an alternative to Pompeii, with views of Vesuvius in the background. The weather was glorious as was the food and scenery. An excellent late summer/Autumn destination.
