Utah and Arizona 2021

Well, we are now into the second year of the plague – fifteen days to flatten the curve, one year later. Foreign travel options appear limited for the year, so I decided to go ahead and plan to be domestic again. It seemed like a good time to go ahead and buy a house, expected closing late April or early May. Meanwhile, in response to a 20 Percent discount on all 2021 trips offered during the last week of 2020, I went ahead and booked six backpacking trips with Wildland Trekking, the tour company with whom I did a Wind River Range trek in August 2020. Two of those trips are in Yellowstone National Park over the summer, one is in Canyonlands National Park in Utah in the spring, and three are in the autumn in southern Utah canyon country and into the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The spacing is such that I’ll have some hiking and touring opportunities on my own between and around the backpacking tours. It’s always fun to get out into the wilderness!
