The Great Meander on the Little Loop (Part 1)

The Great Loop is for cruisers traveling (usually counter clockwise) around the eastern United States on waterways including the Mississippi, Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway, Hudson River, Erie Canal, and Great Lakes. Depending on the route options taken, the distance is somewhere around 5000 miles. We're not doing that. Our loop will take us clockwise up Lake Huron to Georgian Bay, through Ontario and Quebec on the Trent Severn Waterway, Rideau Canal, Ottawa River, St. Lawerence River, Richelieu Canal. Then through Lake Champlain, Hudson River, Erie Canal, and Lake Erie. Nearly 2000 miles round trip. We will be splitting it up between the fall of 2013 and spring of 2014, leaving the boat for the winter somewhere (Burlington, VT?) along the way. Not the Great Loop. A Little Loop. A Pretty Good Loop.
