Teaching in Nakuru, Kenya - Am I too old for this?

I am on professional development leave from my school district for the spring semester 2007. I have been assigned by United Methodist Volunteers in Mission to a Methodist Church / Rescue Center in Nakuru, Kenya. I think I will be teaching AIDS orphans and street children, but will find out for sure when I get there. I'm sure the school can use donations of school supplies and / or money.
