We're Going to Need a Bigger Camel...

Life is too short. When this opportunity came along, it was a once in a lifetime shot at pretending to be the world traveller /trekker /mountaineer person I'd really like to have been, had I not discovered outdoor activites so late. It would have been way more convenient to have taken up adventuring when I was young, fit, slim and energetic. In reality I am none of these things anymore, so the challenge of trekking across Northern China to the world's second highest mountain is far greater than it might have been. So, here it is: a story of naivity in the face of challenge that lies ahead; idiocy in overcoming adversity; wishful thinking vs planning... and, hopefully, the adventure of a lifetime.
