Norfolk - A Tale of Ships and Chips
It is a challenge to try to find the perfect getaway for three generations of one family. Mum is nearly 80 and her main occupations are resting and shouting at the dog, whereas Nick has Parkinson's and his main occupation is sleeping and looking vague. The four teenagers, once they emerge from their beds around mid-afternoon, are mainly happy providing they have WiFi (we didn't). I thought we could try boating round the Norfolk Broads, as an activity the sleepers could fully engage with. To give me someone to talk to, I decided to take the dogs too. One is old and extremely smelly, and the other is mildly psychotic, and determined to bark at everything he can't actually shag. Then, I decided to invite some friends to join us. It gave the psycho-dog something to do, other than bark.
