Percy Jackson has a lot to answer for. The seeds of the classics had been sown by Percy and Grover in the preceding years, filling my daughters' heads with tales of heroes and monsters. Zeus and Athena strode across the landscape of Greece, hand in hand with Demeter, Poseidon and Artemis.
