Hele Hana Hou

In the Hawai'ian language, "Hele" means "move, go, travel" and "Hana hou" means "Encore, do it again". We've been dreaming of returning to Hawaii for awhile now. We've been there twice, both times to Maui, staying in Lahaina in 2006 and Kahana in 2008. We loved it both times, although the weather didn't cooperate much on our second visit (it rained almost every day, taking the fun out of having a Mustang Convertible rental). Seeing the George Clooney movie "The Descendants" in 2011 reminded us of the beautiful Hawai'ian landscapes, and we vowed to each other to take an extended winter vacation in Hawaii. We've finally bitten the financial bullet and are heading to the Big Island for two months. We will spend a month in a studio condo in Kailua-Kona on the west side of the island. Then we'll move south down the coast to a house on Kealakekua Bay, in the village of Napo'opo'o, near Captain Cook. We'll be there with the kids for two weeks. After they leave, we'll move across the island to an oceanfront condo in Punaluu, near Volcanoes National Park, returning home just before Easter. Escape with us on our journey! A hui hou (until we meet again). Roger & Anna
