Meandering Down To Arizona

A couple of years ago we began to appreciate the motivations behind the Snowbirds who go to great lengths (ie long drives) to find the sun and heat in the middle of a yet another Canadian winter. However we're less understanding of the need to complete these drives as quickly as possible which usually involves driving very fast and straight on a North-South major highway. You're likely zipping right by some of the wild and wacky sights and stops that make any road trip in the U.S. so much fun. I did receive Royal Assent from the Queen to build our trip around a one night stay in a former Idaho parade potato come new Airbnb. Granted I did stretch this approval to include a few other stops that might not be strictly in keeping with the Queens comfort standard but what could possibly go wrong.
