South India ... one more time!
In January of 2009, Nat and I set off on a 3 month return trip to South India. We flew into Trivandrum, on the very southern tip of the sub-continent, to meet up with 15 other Canadians and take part in a Habitat for Humanity Canada Global Village build in the village of Nakaneri (Tamil Nadu). Following the build, we slowly made our way towards Mumbai, stopping along the journey at Varkala, Amma's ashram, Alleppey and the Backwaters, Kannur, the Tibetan settlement in and around Bylakkuppe, the Hoysala-era temples at Halebid and Belur, the pilgrim town of Dharmastala, Gokarna for a return visit, Goa and Aurangabad.
