Barb and Tom's Dinner

Barb and Tom hosted a party to share information with us about France and to wish us well on our trip. There were 10 of us there. We each brought French-style food which Barbara planned from a lovely Giverny cookbook. The evening began in the gazebo surrounded by Barbara's beautiful gardens. Pate and champagne; then pea soup and a white wine; poached salmon, potato casserole, a rich mushroom sauce; a green salad; delicious French cheese; poached pears; chocolate zucchini cake. the food was accompanied by wines from French regions. Several of us wore "French" style costumes as well. It was a lovely send-off!
